Thomas Papanicolas practices a variety of civil law at the Frankfort Law Group, including small claims, housing, and domestic relations. Thomas enjoys helping people through stressful situations to ultimately achieve the best results for their situation.
Thomas earned his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Illinois- Chicago. During law school, he volunteered with the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic's Emergency Services Division, where he assisted in the preparation of orders of protection for individuals facing domestic violence. In his last semester of law school, he was an extern for the Honorable Raul Vega, the presiding judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County's Domestic Violence Division. He was also an extern at the Will County Courthouse during the summer of 2017. Prior to law school, Thomas completed a term of service with the Illinois Justice Corps where he provided legal information to self-representing litigants at the Markham Courthouse.
Committed to his legal studies, Thomas received five CALI awards during law school for earning the highest grade in the classes of Bankruptcy, Real Estate Transactions, Mediation, the Domestic Violence Practicum, and LARC I, a first-year writing course where the topic was family law. He also received a certificate in family law from DePaul University College of Law in May of 2019 for successfully completing multiple child and family law courses.
